POINT OF VIEW
You have a Point of View? Point it this way…
1stop4bussiness sharing your business thoughts and needs. Express your ideas, air your concerns, seek support for your issues, 1stop4business is The Heart of Business.
Founded originally as a collaborative marketing group by a team of business professionals, the members soon found that their meetings provided a great opportunity to exchange thoughts on a wide range of business activities and provide mutual support for participants. The 1stop4business forum is now our legacy activity. We are simply a forum to discuss and share issues, problems and opportunities faced by businesses in Greater Peterborough.
Please, come along and join in as your input is welcome and valued!
Meetings are informal gatherings of like-minded business people. They are friendly and open to all-comers and not be on a membership basis. This format, of course, has great appeal to most business owners, directors and senior managers of SMEs, rather than those from larger companies, but ALL will be nevertheless be welcome.
It is hoped that this simplest of formats will have broad appeal, attracting participants to join in without any obligation and have their say.
What do we discuss?
Essentially anything that is topical, stimulating, controversial, relevant or otherwise of interest to 1stop4business participants. This may include new or pending legislation, significant news events, what is going on in Greater Peterborough or other any of the many issues of the day. As the meeting will be held the week following each Opportunity Peterborough Bondholder breakfast meeting, this may prompt discussions or questions as there are few chances to debate points at the breakfast presentations.
May be it will be something contentious, or new, or just where you feel there isn’t enough support or information available. Join in and we’ll see what we can do about it.
Participants should come to the meeting prepared to talk about their current concerns and opportunities.
No charge for joining in
Meetings are free, subject to the location remaining free – for which thank you Allia!
When do we meet?
1stop4business meets quarterly at lunchtime at 12:30 p.m. on the Wednesday following the Opportunity Bondholder breakfast meeting. It will finish by 2:00 p.m.
Next meetings: Wednesday, 25 October 2017
The dates for 2018 Opportunity Bondholder Breakfast meetings have not yet been announced but are likely to be in January, April, June and October. 1stop4business meetings will follow a week later in each case.
Where is this happening?
We meet at Grow, which is the Bistro area on the second floor of the Allia Future Business Centre It is proposed that we should continue to meet at the Allia Future Business Centre, probably in the Bistro area, although that will depend on Allia.
The advantage of this location is that it will enable participants to buy their own refreshments and attend on a drop-in basis.
You can find more details of Grow right here: https://peterborough.futurebusinesscentre.co.uk/about-the-centre/grow-kitchen-bar
Directions to Allia Future Business Centre are also here: https://peterborough.futurebusinesscentre.co.uk/about-the-centre/find-us The Centre in located at the North East corner of the ABAX Stadium, the Peterborough United soccer ground on London Road. Take the turn into Hawksbill Road on the North of the Stadium (the river side) and turn into the stadium grounds after 50 metres. There is plenty of free car parking.
What do I need to do if I want to come along?
Simple(s). In order that we can do what little planning is needed, we would be grateful if you’d simply let us know you want to attend using the Eventbrite booking form. It couldn’t be easier.
Who runs 1stop4business?
1stop4business forum is there for its participants and will take the direction those involved wish. Whether you need advice, think we should be a ginger group lobbying the Council or whomever, or just want to vent your spleen – do come and join in.
